NYSC debunk Relocation notice

The management of the National Youth Service Scheme (NYSC) has disassociated with the news published on some social media plat forms directing intending relocating corps members to complete documentation for their places of primary assignment between April 11th and 18th, 2022 and made payments saying it is a plot by fraudsters to dupe unsuspecting members.

In a statement signed by NYSC Director of Press and Public Relations, Eddy Megwa, the scheme urged corps members and members of the general public to ignore the publication saying it is a desperate attempt by mischief makers to tarnish the image of the Scheme.

“The attention of the management of NYSC has been drawn to a fake notice trending in the social media informing corps members of 2022 Batch ‘A’ Corps members on relocation that they have between 11th to 18th April, 2022 to conclude documentation for their places of Primary Assignment.

“We wish to note that the badly written text did not emanate from the Scheme. It is the handiwork of fraudsters bent on tarnishing the image of the Scheme. The general public and Corps Members should please note that relocation of Corps Members and posting to places of Primary Assignment is free of charge and must not be paid for any reason.

“Corps members are advised to ignore the notice written on fake NYSC letter head and signed by a NATIONAL CO-ORDINATOR, a designation that is not in existence in the Scheme. This is a calculated attempt by fraudsters to dupe unsuspecting corps members.

“General public should please note that authentic information from the NYSC can be accessed from NYSC formations nationwide, social media accounts and NYSC Radio and Television. Please be properly guided”, the statement added.
