Okumagba praises Tinubu’s comprehensive Ministerial selection

Former Delta State Commissioner of Finance, Olorogun Bernard Okumagba, applauds President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR for the inclusive and diverse representation showcased in his initial list of 28-member Ministerial nominees, presented to the Senate on July 27, 2023.

In a Press Statement, Olorogun Okumagba, a prominent leader of the APC in Delta State, acknowledged President Tinubu’s reputation as a bridge builder and true progressive, emphasizing how these exceptional skills were evident in his choice of cabinet members. This move, according to Okumagba, revitalizes the hopes of Nigerians for a more prosperous nation where every citizen can actively participate and contribute.

Olorogun Okumagba extended his warm congratulations to the Minister-nominees for earning the confidence and trust of President Tinubu. He also expressed his sincere wishes for their success in leading their respective ministries after the Senate confirms their nominations. Okumagba firmly believed that they would play a pivotal role in advancing President Tinubu’s “Nigerian Ideal” agenda, which is focused on peace, prosperity, security sector reform, economic growth, and poverty eradication, with a particular emphasis on empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to foster a robust middle class and drive the nation’s economic recovery.

Assuring the Minister-nominees of the support from well-meaning Nigerians, Olorogun Bernard Okumagba encouraged them to remain dedicated to helping President Tinubu transform Nigeria into “a more perfect nation and democracy,” turning the Nigerian ideal into a tangible reality.

The statement also expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for selecting Mr. Wale Edun, a renowned banker and economist with previous experience as a two-time Commissioner of Finance in Lagos State; Mr. Adebayo Adelabu, a first-class Accountancy graduate and former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria; Honorable Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, a seasoned business executive and former Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Niger Delta Affairs; and Honorable Stella Okotete, an accomplished executive currently serving as Executive Director of Business Development at the Nigeria Export-Import Bank (NEXIM) and who has demonstrated dedication to the APC both at the state and national levels.

In conclusion, Olorogun Okumagba extended his best wishes to the Ministerial nominees, recognizing the challenges ahead and their pivotal role in supporting President Tinubu to achieve social and economic growth for Nigerians through collaboration with the other branches of government.
