Osun State Commissioner of Police, CP Olawale Olokode psc, during the commissioning of the upgraded Ikoyi Divisional Police Headquarters and official patrol vehicle at Ikoyi-Ile in Isokan South local council development area of the state, assured the people of the community and entire State in general of adequate and visibility policing.
The Commissioner of Police in his speech congratulated His Royal Majesty, Oba Yisau Oyetunji Otunla, Kodaolu I, Olukoyi of Ikoyi Kingdom and the entire good people of Ikoyi for the strong support and assistance which are indispensable to the completion and commissioning of the Division.
The CP stated further that, the commissioning marks an important milestone in making the Police closer to the people of the Community and it is also of great significance to effective and efficient policing. He believes and assures the people of the community on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Baba Alkali, psc (+), NPM, fdc whom he represents on the occasion that, the Division will be judiciously utilized for expected visibility policing in the community and beyond.
While promising to work together with His Royal Majesty and people of the Community to provide peaceful atmosphere and eventually improve the security of lives and properties of people of the environs, the CP solicited for higher level of cooperation and collaboration in giving timely & factual information to the Police and other security agencies to ensure that criminal activities is brought to a minimal ebb in the community.
