PenCom issues a revised regulation on terminal and retirement benefits

The National Pension Commission has on Monday issued e revised regulation on Terminal and retirement benefits for implementation.

According to a release by the commission on Monday, the revised regulation contains new enhancement on voluntary contribution, pension enhancement among others.

Since the regulations initial issuance in 2007 ,this is it’s first comprehensive review and that the review has input from key stakeholders to ensure a more efficient retirement benefits administration.

The key highlights of the revised regulation includes the non confirmation of Employment status by employers, access simplication of the documentation process, access to lump sum among others.
