Plateau APC Ward Executives Deny Suspension of Hon. Bendal and Others in Tahbol Ward

By Isreal Adamu, Jos

The All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Langtang South Local Government Area of Plateau State have refuted recent media claims regarding the suspension of Hon. Bendal Nancwat Domfa and other party executives. They described these allegations as the work of political jobbers and detractors seeking undue attention.

In a statement, the APC ward executives stated, “We are disowning the purported suspension of Hon. Bendal and others that has been circulated on social media.” They emphasized that no suspension of the lawmaker or other executives has occurred.

Speaking to reporters in Langtang South, Hon. Venbong Ramnap, the Deputy Chairman of the Tahbol Ward, reiterated that the party did not suspend the lawmaker or any other officials. He stated, “These allegations are untrue, false, baseless, and unfounded, as there has never been a time when Hon. Bendal was involved in any anti-party activities.”

He further expressed confidence in Hon. Bendal, saying, “Our lawmaker is working hard to provide dividends of democracy to the people of the zone, and we are solidly behind him.”

Ramnap urged the public to disregard the malicious reports, stating, “There are no anti-party activities discovered in his ward.”

Mr. Bala Setyep, the APC Secretary of the Tahbol Ward, echoed this sentiment, declaring, “We are passing a vote of confidence in our lawmaker, Hon. Bendal, and the other party executives. We want to inform the public that we did not suspend our lawmaker at any time.”

Additionally, Mr. Fazing Nimzap remarked that instead of a suspension, the party’s ward executives have passed a vote of confidence on Hon. Bendal.

In response to the rumors, Hon. Bendal Nancwat Domfa described the claims of his suspension from the APC as laughable and unconstitutional. He asserted that the allegations were orchestrated by “anti-democratic forces masquerading as the executives of the APC” in his local government area. He further labeled those announcing his suspension as a “bunch of comedians and pretenders.”
