The hon member representing langtang north / langtang south federal constituency of plateau state , hon prince vincent venman bulus has empowered 1000 women and youths with mechanized farming equipment in his constituency.
The lawmaker also launched the revolutionary agricultural empowerment initiative for his constituents aimed at boosting farming.
Our correspondent reports that the youths and women drawn from almost all wards of the constituency were empowered with improved seedlings ,farm implements , fertilizers litres of sprayer, and effective herbicides worth millions of naira .
Hon. Bulus who spoke at the occasion informed that the choice of empowering over 1000 farmers of his constituency members were in fulfillment of some of his campaign promises to empower young people and women.
According to him “ this empowerment are in fulfillment of some of my campaign promises, to empower our youths and mothers, with the aim of alleviating poverty and creating a better standard of living for our people.”
“mechanized farming will not only boost their productivity but will help address the current drudgery that has been ascribed to the youth in agriculture.
He said the gesture was in tandem with the initiative of president bola ahmed tinubu’s efforts to boost food sufficiency through the agricultural sector.
Rep. Vincent emphasized that the initiative fulfills his promise to support his constituents during the farming season, particularly amidst the country’s food shortages and economic challenges.
He pledged to continue to put the interest of his constituency first at all times . Hon venman pledged to continue to empower more of his constituents . Rep vincent also appointed one hundred and three (103) constituents as special advisers and media advisers,
This move according to him is a masterstroke of grassroots engagement, ensuring that the voices of the people are heard and their needs are addressed.
Nanpak linus, a beneficiary of the empowerment lauded the lawmaker and pledged to make good use of items recieved .
He added that it is a clear indication that the people of langtang north and south federal constituency have a leader who is truly in touch with their needs and aspirations.
