Plateau Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board Debunk Fake Letter to Gov Mutfwang

The Plateau State Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board has debunked what it call not only fake but misleading letter to Governor Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang by a group named “Concerned Hajj Monitoring group” as published by one of the respected National Paper” Daily Nigerian” of 26th July,2024, with the above Captioned.

A statement made available to Journalist and signed by Yasir Isma’il Yahaya the information Officer Plateau State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board stated that it’s attention of has been drawn to a not only fake but misleading Letter by a group named “Concerned Hajj Monitoring group” as published by one of the respected National Paper” Daily Nigerian” of 26th July,2024, with the above Captioned.

Yasir further disclosed that while they respect the views and freedom of all Civil Society groups, the Content of the said letter by the Hajj Monitoring group is fake as nothing can be further from the truth and it’s read as follows:

To Set the record Straight, The administration of Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has zero tolerance for corruption or any sharp practices that is why the Board under the Leadership of the Executive Secretary Hon. Daiyabu Dauda is operating an open door Policy by allowing all stakeholders in the Hajj Industry to give their own Contribution and suggestions inline with the vision of the Time is now administration.

The statement also reads that “As part of our Commitment to embrace all stakeholders for the first time in the history of the Board we went Round the seventeen Local Government areas of Plateau State to meet with Traditional Rulers and Islamic Religions Body on the activities of the Board a Spirit we maintained throughout the Hajj Exercise.”

“We have made early arrangements because of the support we received from the peoples Governor in the state which has enabled us to ensure the welfare of Plateau Pilgrims both at home and in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”

“Nothing can be further from the truth, the punishment for drug peddling in Saudi Arabia is death and non of our Staff or Pilgrim is in detention in the kingdom as we are all back home safely.”

On the issue of selling of Government Slots allocated to the Muslim faithful in the state for the 2024 Hajj as alleged by the Group, we are not aware of such transactions as all those who got allocation received it with acknowledgements for future references and the beneficiaries have total Control of their allocation our role is to verify the Authenticity of the forms for documentations.

The Board will also want to make it categorically Clear that we welcome any investigation on the alleged purchased of Bungalow in Jos or any place identified by the suspected Senior Staff of the Board.

We at the Plateau State Muslim Pilgrims welfare Board appreciated the effort of the Chairman of The group Alh. Dan asabe Muhammad for acknowledging the fact that the Governor Mutfwang led administration has zero Tolerance for Corruption . We will continue to protect this name insha Allah.

The statement further added that the Board is willing to cooperate with the Hajj monitoring group and other Civil society groups in the fight against Corruption and Sharing of any information that will help them in the discharge of their responsibility.
