Senator representing Plateau South in the National assembly AVM Napoleon Bali rtd , has congratulated the new Minority leader of the 10th National Assembly Senator Simon Mwadkwon on his well deserved emergence .
Our correspondent reports that Senator Simon Mwadkwon represents Plateau North in the National Assembly.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Jos on Wednesday , Senator Bali also congratulated the principal officers of the minority caucus of the 10th Senate on their emergence.
Bali said “He is confident that Senator Simon Mwadkwon with his wealth of experience, and knowledge of the dynamics of the polity, will provide the desired leadership and candor in directing the affairs of the minority caucus in the Senate, and indeed, the National Assembly, to the utmost benefit of the people of Nigeria.
AVM Bali rtd who retired from the Nigerian Air Force as Chief of Policy and Plans (COPP) HQ NAF after an illustrious 35 service years some years ago also expressed confidence in the abilities of the minority leaders to effectively perform their roles.
Bali added that ” Our brand new Minority leader Senator Mwadkwon is a thorough breed politician, who has demonstrated exceptional legislative skills and competence, while serving in the House of Representatives .”
He noted that Senator Mwadkwon has what it takes to rally the Peoples Democratic Party Senators , the Labour party Senators and that of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP ,and other parties in the red chamber as a formidable opposition in the Senate as he has been tested and trusted insisting that our new Minority leader played a major role in the People’s Democratic Party victory in the recently concluded Governorship election in Plateau .”
Bali added that Mwadkwon is a real detribalised Nigerian, who sees everybody as his partner in the Nigerian project.
” I wish Senator Mwadkwon success as he leads our Caucus in the Senate”.the statement further reads .
AVM Napoleon Bali also vowed to put that interest of his constituents first in all his dealings.
He called on Senators from the minority caucus to support Senator Mwadkwon as he would deliver and ensure that citizens of the country are provided with the necessary dividends of democracy .
