Plateau Youth Activist Hoommen Sends New Year Message to Citizens

A Plateau youth activist, Comrade Pius Hoommen Kwaprep, has sent a New Year message to citizens of Plateau State and Nigerians at large, calling for unity, resilience, and renewed commitment to national development as the country ushers in 2026. In a statement made available to journalists in Jos to mark the New Year celebrations, the Plateau youth activist congratulated citizens for successfully navigating the challenges of 2025 and encouraged them to embrace the opportunities of the new year with optimism and determination.“ Dear fellow citizens and young patriots, as we bid farewell to 2025 and welcome the dawn of 2026 with open hearts and renewed energy, I extend my warmest felicitations to each and every one of you on this joyous New Year,” Hoommen stated.

He described the outgoing year as a period that tested the resilience and creativity of Nigerians, particularly the youth, whom he said continued to play a critical role in driving innovation, advocating positive change, and shaping a better future for the nation.According to him, young people remain central to Nigeria’s progress and development. He noted that their energy, ideas, and commitment are essential to building sustainable institutions and inclusive growth across communities.“

The past year has been a testament to our resilience, creativity, and unbreakable spirit, especially among our youth, who continue to drive innovation and advocate for change,” he said. “You are the heartbeat of progress and the leaders of tomorrow shaping today.” Looking ahead to the new year, the Plateau youth activist urged citizens to remain focused on collective goals and to work together in the interest of peace and prosperity. He stressed that unity and cooperation are vital for overcoming challenges and achieving long-term development.“

In 2026, let us harness our collective strength to pursue our dreams with passion, embrace challenges with courage, and work together for unity, prosperity, and sustainable growth,” Hoommen said.He further expressed hope that the new year would bring improved living conditions and greater opportunities for citizens across Plateau State and the country. He encouraged Nigerians to remain law-abiding, proactive, and committed to nation-building in their various capacities.The activist also offered prayers for good health, peace, and success for individuals, families, and communities, noting that these values are essential for national stability and progress.“ May this New Year bring abundant opportunities, good health, peace, and success in all your endeavours,” he added.

Hoommen concluded his message by wishing Nigerians a memorable and productive year, urging them to make 2026 count through positive actions and shared responsibility.“Happy New Year 2026. Let us make it extraordinary,” he said
