By Gabriel Udeh, Kaduna

Nigeria Police Kaduna command Wednesday deployed heavy police vans loaded with it’s personnel to Kaduna State University (KASU) campus to scuttled the students planned protest against arbitrary increased in school fees by the state government.

Recalled that our Kaduna correspondent had earlier today reported that the state university students were set to rock the boat with heavy protest over purported arbitrary increment in school fees by the state government.

It was also reported that “Preparations had been completed and information about the protests have gone round all nocks and crannies about the action billed to take place at the University premises.

Our reporter further averred that Journalists had all gone to the campus in anticipation of the students uprising against the Kaduna government.

Recalled that Governor Nasir El-rufai led administration recently raised the university tuition fees by over a 100% and refused to reverse it despite outcries by students, parents, spirited individuals and organized labour.

However, our reporter who witnessed the incident reported that event later turned around as police security were deployed in huge number and took over the school premises and prevented the protests from taking place as planned.

The students were scared and were easily dispersed by the police.
