Police teargas #Endbadgovernace protesters at Eagle Square

By Joyce Remi-Babayeju

The Police shot canister of teargas into the air on Thursday morning at the Eagle Square when protesters gathered to begin their protests against bad governance, hunger and hardship in the country.

The Police teargas was to disperse and discourage the crowd from gathering in the area.

Daybreak reports that some protesters had begun gathering to kickstart the protests after an Abuja Court had approved Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja as the only permitted arena for the protests.

However, the protesters defied the teargas as they stayed put as they began singing and displaying the national flag and placards to register their messages at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium.

The protesters were in high spirits and determined to express their constitutional rights.
As at the time of filing this report, Daybreak who was at the Moshood Abiola Stadium reports that the protesters are on their way to the City center.
