Portable Reveals How Zlatan Affected His Relationship with Davido

By   Milcah   Tanimu

In a recent interview, Nigerian Street Pop star Portable opened up about the strained relationship between him and Afrobeats sensation Davido. Portable, known for his music and headline-making antics, revealed that fellow artist Zlatan played a significant role in creating tension between him and Davido, which led to a rift in their friendship.

Portable, who has become one of Nigeria’s foremost internet sensations, shared his side of the story during an interview on Echo Room. According to Portable, his relationship with Davido was amicable until Zlatan intervened. The two artists were getting along well during Portable’s tour in the United States earlier this year, where Davido even gifted Portable a pair of sneakers.

However, things took a turn when Zlatan allegedly warned Davido to be cautious about associating with Portable. Feeling betrayed, Portable took to social media to express his frustration, accusing Zlatan of spreading false information to damage his relationship with Davido.

Despite the public fallout, Portable later issued an apology to Zlatan in an attempt to mend their relationship. This incident is just one of several conflicts Portable has faced with other celebrities in 2024. Earlier in the year, he had a highly publicized dispute with socialite Bobrisky and recently settled differences with musician Goya Menor after their fallout over the 2022 Headies Best Street Pop Award.

Portable continues to stay in the spotlight, releasing a new single titled “Oriade,” which he performed during his interview session on Echo Room.
