Pray hard for 2019 elections – Kaduna pastor tells clergyman

National President Peace Revival and Reconciliation Foundation of Nigeria Pastor Yohanna Buru has call on religious leaders and scholars to immensely embarked on serious prayers and Fasting ahead of the general election next months.

Buru gave the advice at the get together party he organized for journalists in Kaduna to mark the beginning of January 2019 at the premise of the NUJ Kaduna state councill.

“This is the 5th times we are organizing this type of get-together party for kaduna journalists in order to pray for peace through out the new year and also to strengthening unity to make the country move ahead” he said.

He said that the get-together party enables his foundation and other religious leaders with different Peace NGO/CSO and community organization to interact Face-to-Face with the journalists and deliberate on issues that could promote National peace.

Buru then called on JNI and CAN to appealed to all religious leaders in the country including traditionists to embarked serious prayer and Fasting ahead of the general election ,while equally calling on politicians to embrace the result of 2019 election in good faith, so as to avert violence.

He also called on INEC to show justice ,fairness, adding that, “the man of God then called on all Nigerian Imams and pastors to equally prays for Nigerian Army that are continuously in the battled filled fighting Boko Haram in the North-eastern Nigeria,while calling on Federal Government to open peace talk with zamfara and Kaduna Bandit,in order to end the daily attacks and killing of innocents Nigerians

Buru called on every Nigerians for Forgive one another and shun all forms of ethno-religious political crisis bedeviling peace stability in the country.

While appreciated kaduna Union of Journalists for given him the opportunity for organizing the event ,the chairman kaduna state union of journalist comrade Adamu yusuf, thanks the foundation for coming to celebrate new year day with his member

Adamu said,we are really grateful with the honours given to us by pastor Yohanna buru, adding that as election approaches, journalist should be ready to promote peace and unity

In his own comment,the chairman kaduna state civilian JTC Alhaji Shehu usman Dan-Tudu, expressed satisfaction over commitment to promote peace and unity in the state

Dan-tudu urged journalist to be committed in promoting peace and Developmental journalist, and then called on all Peace NGO,CSO and Humanitarian organization to also embarked on promoting peace from the grace root.

While encouraging community to embrace community policing, he concluded by saying that they

are working with all groups that are ready to promote peace and unity in the country irrespective of religion, tribes and ethnicity.
