**Pro-Amaechi APC Faction Denies Collaboration with Wike and Defection to PDP**

By Daniel Edu

The dissolved faction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, loyal to former governor Rotimi Amaechi, has refuted claims of working with the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike. The faction, led by Emeka Beke, denied allegations of defection to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Beke clarified that his presence at an event where he interacted with Wike was merely a social gathering, the 60th birthday celebration of a club member. He emphasized that the friendly exchange with Wike should not be misconstrued as alignment or defection, reaffirming his loyalty to Amaechi’s political family.
