The Secretary-general of the group, Malam Mustapha Bello in an interview with  New Nigerian  in Kano, adding that Northern Nigeria is a very fertile area that can produce all type of crops that can boost the regions economy and provides more employment opportunities.

Mustapha Bello added that rural urban migration is becoming more threat to the peaceful coexistence especially when the lack of employment remained the cause of insecurity in the Northern region which must be taken into serious consideration.

He stated that ” we have many earth dams across the northern states and if such dams were repaired and expanded to suit all agricultural projects because irrigation is one of the best option to food production and providing employment to quite a number of people mostly youths” .
