Protest rocks Plateau as gunmen kill 3 persons in Mangu LGA

Three persons have been killed in the early hours of Monday in NCHYA village of Mangu local government council of Plateau state .

It was gathered that the three persons were razed down in their home by gunmen .

This development prompted a protest by a large number of women and youths in Mangu Government Area (LGA) of state who came out to protest the incessant killings by gunmen in their communities.

They women who took the protest to the palace of the their traditional ruler Mishkaham Mwaghavul, paramount ruler of the Mwaghavul people also accused the military Special Task Force recently deployed to the local government council of staying in the council headquarters while most attacks are carried out in the villages .

One of the protesters, Madam Mwanret Bulus said: “Our people are grieved by the persistent attacks and killings by gunmen in our communities. That is why we have come out to protest and to call on the government’s attention to the trouble we are facing.

She also lamented that three persons were razed in their home in NCHYA community of the LGA

Efforts to reach the military or Police at the time of sending this report was abortive .
