PSG Still Hesitant on Victor Osimhen Deal Ahead of Transfer Deadline

By  Milcah  Tanimu

As the transfer deadline approaches in just three days, French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have yet to submit an official bid for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, according to Soccernet.ng.

The pursuit of Osimhen has been a major storyline throughout the summer transfer window, but a resolution remains elusive. Despite his standout performances at Napoli over the past three seasons, PSG has not formalized their interest with an official offer.

Osimhen, who joined Napoli in 2020 following a stellar season with Lille, struggled initially but has since become a key player for the Italian club. Over his four-year tenure at Napoli, he has amassed 76 goals and 18 assists in 133 appearances.

Interest in Osimhen extends beyond PSG, with clubs like Arsenal and Chelsea also rumored to be interested. However, the transfer talks have been protracted, with no agreement reached as of yet.

Although it was previously reported that PSG had settled on personal terms with Osimhen, no official bid has been made to Napoli. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that PSG’s stance remains unchanged.

With PSG already having two strikers, Randal Kolo Muani and Goncalo Ramos, in their squad, it appears increasingly likely that Osimhen may remain at Napoli for at least the first half of the season if no deal is finalized before the transfer window closes.
