Sanwo-Olu’s Aide, Abdulrahman Lekki, Passes Away

Abdulrahman Lekki, the Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Scholarship Board, has passed away, as announced on Wednesday by Tokunbo Wahab, the Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, via a post on X.com.

Wahab expressed his condolences, saying, “Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. With a heavy heart, we mourn the loss of a dear friend and brother, Abdulrahman Lekki #FollowLekki, who served with dedication as the Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Scholarship Board. His commitment to empowering young minds through education and his compassion for the community will be deeply missed.”

He described Lekki as more than just a colleague, noting, “Abdulrahman was a pillar of support, a guiding light, and a friend whose warmth, humility, and kindness impacted everyone around him. His legacy lives on in those he inspired to reach their highest potential.”

The commissioner extended condolences to Lekki’s family, friends, and loved ones, praying for his eternal peace.

The cause of his death has not been disclosed.
