By Achadu Gabriel, Kaduna

Senator representing Benue North and Chairman of the Sada Day/Coronation of Tor Sada Kaduna chapter, Senator Udende, has called for stronger unity and peaceful coexistence among the Sankera people, Benue, and Nigeria as a whole.

Speaking at the colorful Sada Day celebration in Kaduna, which was held over the weekend, Senator Udende, who was represented by Barr. Andrew H. Abuul, pledged his support for the Sankera people. As the Senate Committee Chairman on EFCC, Udende emphasized the importance of peace for the progress of the region and the country.

In his welcome address, Mr. Samuel Kyuga, the Chairman of the planning committee for Sada Day/Coronation of Tor Sada Kaduna, highlighted that the Sada community is one of the significant zones of the Tiv ethnic group in Benue State. He explained that the event, organized by the Sankera Development Association, Kaduna chapter, symbolizes peace, love, and unity among the community members.

“We are celebrating our day and crowning one of us, Chief Patrick Verior Maikyo, as Tor Sada. Maikyo is a symbol of trust and humanitarianism, always accommodating everyone regardless of clan affiliation,” Kyuga said.

He urged all members of the community to join hands in achieving the goals of the Sada community, stressing that collective effort is essential for their success.

The highlight of the celebration was the coronation of Chief Patrick Verior Maikyo as Tor Sada, accompanied by vibrant Tiv cultural displays and dances.
