Senate President GodsWill Akpabio acknowledged Wike’s contributions and called for him to “take a bow and leave,” signifying their endorsement of his nomination.
Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau also praised Wike’s transformative work in Rivers State and questioned if he could replicate similar achievements as a Minister. Wike’s dedication to public service and track record impressed the lawmakers, resulting in their favorable decision.
