The highly anticipated 10th Senate President Cup has reached an exciting milestone with the unveiling of its distinguished ambassadors. Renowned figures in Nigerian football, including current Super Eagles coach Augustine Eguavoen, celebrated coaches Patrick Udoh and Daniel Amokachi, legendary goalkeeper Peter Rufai, and former Super Eagles Captain Ahmed Musa, have been appointed as ambassadors for this prestigious tournament.

In a formal announcement made in Abuja, Tournament Coordinator John Bassey Ekpenyong highlighted the strategic choice of ambassadors, noting their roots in grassroots football as a key factor. Ekpenyong expressed confidence in their ability to resonate with the tournament’s grassroots ethos, stating, “Their background as products of grassroots initiatives aligns perfectly with the core values of the tournament, and we believe their involvement will significantly enhance its impact.”

The involvement of these esteemed football personalities is set to bring heightened excitement and credibility to the Senate President Cup, which will run from November 10 to 17 in Abuja. Focused on promoting unity and discovering emerging talents, the tournament promises an engaging experience for football fans nationwide.

Notably, during Senator Godswill Akpabio’s tenure as the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, over 200 talents were identified, developed, and promoted to leagues around the world.

With these esteemed ambassadors on board, the Senate President Cup is poised to inspire the next generation of Nigerian football talents and deliver an unforgettable spectacle.
