Senator Nora Ladi Daduut has expressed deep sadness over the passing of former Plateau State Deputy Governor Prof. Sonni Gwanle Tyoden who passed on to glory in Jos on Sunday 4th May 2025 at the age of 74 .
Senator Daduut who represented Plateau South Senatorial district in the 9th National assembly in a statement described Tyoden’s death as a huge loss to the people of the state and Nigeria, noting that his wisdom, and dedication to Plateau’s development will be greatly missed.
“His passing is a huge loss to the people of Plateau the APC family and Nigeria.
“I mourn the loss of my Boss in the University of Jos , a great leader, a true patriot. May his soul rest in peace,” she stated.
Daduut added that Prof. Tyoden was an outstanding educationalist and a cherished son of Plateau
He was a dedicated teacher, and a pillar in Plateau’s State’s governance.
His contributions to the education profession were not only profound but also transformative, influencing the lives of many who had the privilege of learning from him.
His absence will be deeply felt across Plateau State and the entire nation.
“While we mourn this great loss, we also take solace in the legacy he leaves behind—a legacy of dedication, integrity, and service.
Prof Tyoden’s contributions to Plateau State will continue to inspire future generations.
His life was one of purpose, and his memory will serve as a beacon of hope and dedication for all who strive for excellence and justice.
