SENATOR LALONG CONGRATULATES FCT CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSIONER, HON. ALEX NAANTUAM; ATTENDS PUBLIC HEARING ON STUDENT LOAN & FCT BUDGET DEFENCE

Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District Simon Bako Lalong has congratulated newly appointed officials of the FCT Civil Service Commission including Plateau State ALGON Chairman Hon. Alex Naantuam who were sworn in this Monday by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.

Senator Lalong who is also Member of the Senate Committee on FCT attended the event and congratulated the pioneer FCT Head of Service, Commisioners of the FCT Civil Service Commission and Permanent Secretaries of the Mandate Secretariat over their appointments.

He said the appointment of Alex Naantuam, Chairman of Shendam Local Government and ALGON Chairman Plateau State is an indication of his capacity for Service and excellence.

The Senator expressed delight that President Tinubu recognised the potentials of Hon. Naantuam who is a grassroots politician that has done a lot for the people.

Thereafter, Senator Lalong attended the public hearing on the Student Loan Scheme convened by the Senate Committee on Tertiary Institutions and Tetfund where he is a member.

Senator Lalong was also at the 2024 budget defence of the FCT where as a member, he emphasized the need for judicious utilisation of resources and proper enforcement of development plans of the Federal Capital Territory which is fast growing.
