Senator Simon Bako Lalong, representing Plateau South Senatorial District and former Governor of Plateau State, commended David Daser, President/CEO of the Digital Bridge Institute, for his transformative contributions to Plateau State and Nigeria through Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

Speaking at a special Thanksgiving Service at Baptist Church, Kagu, Pankshin LGA, Lalong highlighted Daser’s achievements as the pioneer Director-General of the Plateau Information Technology Development Agency (PICTDA), where he drove innovations that earned national and international recognition.

“David Daser’s dedication and innovations significantly enhanced transparency, efficiency, and revenue generation during my administration. His appointment by President Bola Tinubu as DBI President/CEO is a testament to his competence in ICT,” Lalong said.

He urged Plateau leaders to recognize and support talents like Daser regardless of political considerations.

David Daser expressed gratitude to God, Senator Lalong, and other mentors for supporting his journey. He pledged continued dedication to societal development, thanking President Tinubu and Minister of Communications Dr. Bosun Tijjani for their trust in his leadership.

Guest preacher Rev. Dr. Japhlet Kyenlong encouraged public servants to view their roles as divine opportunities to impact lives positively.

Lalong also visited Shendam LGA, where he congratulated ACP Danat Ephraim Dakin, Commander of the Mobile Police Unit in Shendam, and donated a borehole to the community. He pledged ongoing collaboration with the people.

Later, he attended a memorial Mass for the late father of Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem, President of the Court of Appeal, at her village in Angwan Rina. Lalong described the deceased as a man of peace and prayed for his soul’s repose.

Senator Lalong’s engagements reaffirm his commitment to fostering development and strengthening relationships across Plateau State.
