Senator Lalong Leads Plateau National Assembly Members in Meeting with Governor Mutfwang

Senator Simon Bako Lalong, representing the Plateau South Senatorial District, has led members of the National Assembly from Plateau State to a meeting with Governor Caleb Mutfwang at the Government House in Jos.

Lalong explained that the meeting was convened at the request of the Governor, who sought greater collaboration and synergy between the state government and national lawmakers to achieve development and progress in Plateau State.

The former governor emphasized that the meeting provided an opportunity for open discussions on the state’s challenges and the roles both parties must play in advancing Plateau State, regardless of political differences.

As the APC leader in Plateau State, Lalong assured Governor Mutfwang that National Assembly members would prioritize the interests of Plateau residents over party politics, ensuring that federal resources are directed to the state.

He congratulated the Governor for convening the meeting, noting that they would continue to advocate for the state’s needs in both the Red and Green Chambers while also drawing the Governor’s attention to issues requiring his intervention.

Earlier, Governor Mutfwang expressed gratitude for the meeting, acknowledging that without collaboration, the state’s development would be hindered. He thanked the National Assembly members for attending and for their commitment to working with his administration to advance Plateau State.

The Governor described the gathering as the beginning of a new chapter, where elected representatives from all parties have united to create synergy aimed at achieving the Plateau project through unity and cohesion.
