Fresh facts on Tuesday emerged how the new Minority leader of the 10th Senate Senator Simon Mwadkwon got elected .
A document showing how the Minority Senators voted and obtained by our correspondent indicated that in the PDP Caucus Senator Mwadkwon got 24 votes to defeat Senator Aminu Tambuwal, who pulled 12 votes .
Senator Mwadkwon also pulled 7 votes out of 8 from Senators elected under the platform of the Labour party .
From the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) caucus,Senator Mwadkwon and Tambawal both got one votes each ,while all the two senators from the Social Democratic Party of Nigeria (SDP )voted for the new Minority leader.
The document also showed that the only Senator from The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) voted for Senator Mwadkwon .
It could be recalled that Simon Mwadkwon, Senator representing Plateau North, had beaten Aminu Tambuwal, senator representing Sokoto south, to become minority leader of the upper legislative chamber on Tuesday
Senator Mwadkwon pulled 35 votes while Tambawal pulled 15 votes according to the document obtained by our correspondent.
The minority leadership of the upper legislative chamber was announced by Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
