By Jabiru Hassan, Kano.

All Progressive Congress (APC) Bichi local government chapter is facing mass defection where more prominent members are now set to dump the party into New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).

Our correspondent who was at the local government Friday morning reported that there is an indication that more prominent members of APC may join the NNPP as a result of some issues arising in the party which is a great setback when the 2023 general election is fast approaching.

Malam Adamu Mahmoud who is also  member of the ruling party told our correspondent tht if urgent measures are not taken, quite   number of the APC may be lost to NNPP especially when prominent members are now dumping the party for non inclusion.

Similarly, a top ranking APC member who pleaded anonymity lamented that ” what is happening in Bichi APC is something not acceptable to most of the party faithfuls especially those who fought towards the victory of the party for long time, and now it is time for the leaders to restore relationship between APC and those who are the pillars of the party at both levels”. He concluded.

Commenting on those who decamped into NNPP, malam Adamu Yandutse revealed that it is paining to see that at the close of the election a particular party is loosing it’s bigwigs which is a great slap to the party and a whole ruling party.

In his remark, one of the close associate to the council chairman who also did not want his name to be mentioned announced that the council chairman Dr. Yusuf Mohammed Sabo is trying his best to ensure that APC wins the 2023 general elections at all levels.
