‘She Had Nothing to Do with My Marriage’ – 2Baba Defends Edo Lawmaker, Declares Love for Her

Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has publicly professed his love for Edo State lawmaker, Honourable Natasha Osawaru, clarifying that she had no involvement in his ongoing marital issues with wife Annie Idibia.

In a video shared on his Instagram account on Wednesday morning, 2Baba addressed the swirling rumors linking Osawaru to his troubled marriage. Amid his ongoing divorce proceedings, the singer expressed his admiration for the lawmaker, even stating his desire to marry her.

“So, allegedly, I’ve been seeing so many things, so many people coming up with their own false narratives, false talk, and malicious nonsense after I posted that stuff,” he said in the video. “And I posted it, yes—any person wey get brain go understand. But for all the people who have been saying different stuff that don’t have an absolute clue about what’s going on, I hail you people. Your life is perfect, very right.”

2Baba went on to defend Osawaru, stressing that she has been unfairly targeted in the controversy.

“Hon. Natasha has been dragged, she has been called all sorts of names, she has been labelled as a home breaker,” he stated. “She is a young, brilliant, amazing woman, and she had nothing to do with what is happening between me and Annie in our marriage. Yes, I love her, she is amazing, she is cool, I want to marry her.”

He concluded the video with a light-hearted jab at those spreading unfounded allegations online, jokingly suggesting that authorities should intervene to curb the reckless spread of misinformation.
