Responding to the earlier statement by the Sheikh of Bama, Governor Tambuwal said his coming here for the first time since his coronation was a home coming.
He said the Kanuri empire existing has been existing hundred of years ago, “I sincerely and honestly prayed for Allah’s mercies on your forefathers who have seen Nigeria triumphed from stage to stage”.
The Shehu of Borno and the Sheikh of Bama fought seriously to build Nigeria.
I sincerely commend and prayed for successful steering of your current leadership adding his Governor is one of the greatest leaders in the country considering the works he is doing especially on the fight against and restoring peace in the state.
Tambuwal promised to do all he can to uplift traditional leadership who are regarded as fathers and the root of peace.
Earlier in his remarks, the Shehu of Bama Alhaji Kyari Umar said Considering the existing relationship,he was here to build on the existing relationship established by my father, and sincerely commend the government of Sokoto for the warm hospitality received in the period he stayed here.
