Sokoto Female Teachers Forum Assured Of Supports To Its Set Goals

Director Mobilisation State Universal Basic Education Board Alhaji Kabiru Aliyu gave the assurance while receiving the Executive Members of the forum who paid him a courtesy visit in his office.

Alhaji Kabiru Aliyu told them that this can simply be achieved in view of the commitment of women folk not only in house upkeep and teaching but all other daily affairs as such they would be carried along in all the girl child related programs at the subeb level.

According to him, very soon the State Universal Basic Education Board will establish 67 Post Literacy Skills Acquisition Centers across the state for the benefit of drop outs, assuring that women will be given special consideration in that regard.

Alhaji Kabiru Aliyu also promised to do everything humanly possible to register the forum with Corporate Affairs Commission as well as to collaborate with Nigeria Union of Teachers to ensuring sokoto become the first state in the federation to have women wing of the NUT.

While thanking them for appointing him as patron, the DSM also urged them to continue to rally round the Tambuwal led administration and work relentlessly to ensuring Malam Sa’idu Umar Ubandoma succeed Governor Tambuwal in the up coming 2023 polls.

He donated one hundred thousand naira to the forum as well as another one hundred thousand naira to the Women Advocacy Group as promised by the Subeb boss Alhaji Altine Shehu Kajiji.

Speaking earlier the Chairperson of Sokoto State Female Teachers Forum Hajiya Salamatu Ahmed said the forum has representation from the 23 local government areas of the state.

She said the visit was aim at requesting the State Universal Basic Education Board through the DSM to be involving the forum in all the girl child related programs of the board for them to contribute their quota in the development of basic education.

Salamatu also on behalf of other members of the forum requested the DSM to register them with the Corporate Affairs Commission for them to be able to operate as a registered body.

She however announced their full support and cooperation to the success of all PDP candidates during the forthcoming 2023 elections.
