Sokoto NUJ Sokoto Council Holds Maiden Congress

…..urged all for developmental advises

Speaking during the brief maiden congress organised by the executive members of Sokoto Council of the NUJ who were sworn in on the 22n December 2022,the chaiman, Dalhatu Abdullahi Safiyal Magori said the congress is aimed at bringing together the entire membership of the union for the first time after the transition that led to the emergence of the new leadership.

“Today remains àn important milestone in our struggle towards ensuring a better service delivery for the development of NUJ in Sokoto and the country in general”, he averred.

While thanking all those that were opportuned to participate in the maiden congress, Abdullahi further challenged former leaders and elders to continue to work closely together and offer advises whenever the need arises or while digressing from the norms and ethics of the great profession.

Also present at the brief ceremony are Executive Chairman of Sokoto Universal Basic Education Board Alhaji Altine Shehu Kajiji,Commissioner for Animal Health and Fisheries Development Professor AbdulKadir Junaidu and political office holders among others.

Introduction of ex-officio,state of the union,state of the nation and series of other programmes are among the activities observed at the congress.
