Sokoto Police Commissioner Receives In Audience Deputy Comptroller Of Correctional Services

Lauds corrective reforms inculcated into the Service

The Sokoto State Commissioner of Police Ibrahim S. Kaoje had today 22/07/2020 received the Deputy Controller of Correctional Service (Non-custidial), G. T. Abubakar, who stated that the visit is aimed at advocacy and soliciting synergy in implementation of non-custodial services in the State as provided for under the criminal justice system.

Command’s spokesman,ASP Muhammad Sadiq made this known in a release issued to newsmen.

The DCC added that, non-custodial service is a mechanism for corrections, an alternative to imprisonment and a sentence served outside the prison walls.

Responding, the CP thanked the Service for the visit, he equally commended ongoing reforms in the Service and charged the Officers to make positive impact in the discharge of their duties. Lastly, the CP assured of the Command’s readiness to join forces with all security outfits in order to enhance the security of the state.
