A delegation from Sokoto State, led by the Honourable Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Hon. Mohammad Tukur Alkali, who also serves as the state chairman of the Steering Committee for the Agile project, visited Maiduguri for a peer learning experience. The delegation was accompanied by Dr. Mansur Isa Buhari, Coordinator of the Agile project in Sokoto State.
During their visit, the delegation inspected various schools and skills acquisition centers to explore best practices and adapt successful models for the smooth implementation of the Agile project in Sokoto State.
Nura Bello Maikwanci, who reported on this visit, said the peer learning experience aimed to facilitate knowledge sharing, collaboration, and capacity building, enabling the Sokoto State team to leverage the experiences and expertise of their counterparts in Borno State.
The visit underscores the commitment of the Sokoto State Government to ensuring the effective rollout of the Agile project, which aims to improve girls’ and women’s education and enhance skills development for its citizens.
