Southern Kaduna Abductions: Fifteen Farmers Kidnapped in Fresh Attack on Nungu Community

By Achadu Gabriel, Kaduna

Fifteen residents of Nungu community in Bokana Ward, Sanga Local Government Area of Southern Kaduna were abducted on Saturday, November 29, 2025, in a fresh wave of Southern Kaduna abductions, according to a statement issued by Hon. Daniel Amos, Member of the House of Representatives for Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency. The incident occurred as the victims, mostly farmers, were returning home from their farmlands. The attack happened just three days before the Northern States Governors’ Forum and the Northern Traditional Rulers Council convened in Kaduna to address regional insecurity.Hon. Amos, in the statement dated December 2, 2025, described the abduction as disturbing and indicative of the unrelenting insecurity facing rural communities. He said the continuous targeting of peaceful citizens going about their lawful activities is “cruel, senseless, and unacceptable.”According to him, “It is with deep regret and great concern that I address the unfortunate kidnap of fifteen members of Ungwan Nungu community of Bokana Ward who were abducted while returning home from the farm. This heartbreaking incident is another painful reminder of the insecurity that innocent citizens continue to face in their daily struggle for survival.”

The lawmaker condemned the attack in strong terms, stressing that residents deserve to live without fear. He called for calm and urged communities to avoid panic or retaliatory actions that could escalate tension. Instead, he encouraged cooperation with security agencies and vigilance during this critical period.“Our people deserve to live without fear, and those who threaten our collective peace must be confronted with the full weight of the law,” he added. “What we need now is unity, patience, and cooperation with the authorities.”Hon. Amos appealed to security agencies to intensify search and rescue operations, deploy intelligence-driven strategies, and ensure a coordinated approach to securing the release of the abducted victims. He emphasized the need for swift action capable of restoring public confidence in ongoing security efforts across Southern Kaduna.“We expect intensified surveillance, intelligence-driven operations, and a swift, coordinated response that reassures our people of their safety,” he said.

Expressing solidarity with the families of the abducted individuals, Amos assured them that efforts were underway to ensure the safe return of all victims. He reaffirmed his commitment to advocating for stronger, more effective security interventions across his constituency.“The safety and wellbeing of our people remain paramount,” he stated. “Collectively, with determination and resilience, we will overcome this dark moment and restore peace to our communities.”The statement was titled: *Press Statement on the Kidnap of 15 Members of Ungwan Nungu Community, Bokana Ward, Sanga LGA.
