Speaker Guwor Appreciates Contributions to House’s 2024 Successes

As the Delta State House of Assembly concludes its 2024 legislative session, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has expressed profound gratitude to all who played significant roles in the successes recorded by the House over the past year.

In his remarks at the close of the plenary, Rt. Hon. Guwor acknowledged the unwavering support, resilience, and commitment of the Honourable Members, the management team, and the entire Assembly staff.

The Speaker also commended the Press for their efforts in providing visibility to the activities of the House throughout 2024 and expressed optimism for stronger collaboration in the coming year.

Rt. Hon. Guwor extended warm wishes to all, saying, “Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year in advance.”

In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, moments after the plenary, the Speaker extended his appreciation to the people of Delta State for their support and cooperation during the year.

He urged citizens to remain hopeful and united, adding, “It can only get better as the state government, led by Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, remains committed to the successful implementation of its MORE agenda.”

Achievements and Commitment

Reflecting on the Assembly’s achievements, the Speaker said, “As we come to the end of our legislative session for 2024, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one whose tireless efforts and dedication to our collective mission made it a success.”

He highlighted the House’s accomplishments, stating, “Together as legislators, we passed laws that benefit our citizens and promote the development of our state.”

Holiday Wishes and Call to Action

Rt. Hon. Guwor encouraged everyone to embrace the spirit of the Christmas season, saying, “As we celebrate the Christmas season and look forward to the New Year, I urge you all to take time to rest, recharge, and reflect on the true spirit of the season. Let us remember the values of love, kindness, and compassion that bring us together as a people. Let us strive to be beacons of hope and inspiration to those around us.”

He reassured constituents of the House’s unwavering dedication to their welfare and progress, stating, “To our constituents, I want to assure you that we will continue to work tirelessly to address your concerns, promote your welfare, and ensure that our state remains a place of opportunity and prosperity for all.”

Closing Remarks

The Speaker concluded with heartfelt wishes, saying, “Once again, thank you for your hard work, commitment, and support. May the joy, peace, and blessings of the Christmas season be with all of us and our loved ones, and may the New Year bring us greater prosperity, happiness, and fulfillment.”
