Stop Planting Moles in Our Ranks -Group Warns Opposition PDP

A group, All Progressives Congress Youth Development and Solidarity Forum has accused the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) of planting moles in its ranks in order to cause confusion and divide the party especially it’s vibrant youth.

The group also equally denied the involvement of it’s members in any protest against the ruling APC saying it was a trick by the opposition PDP cause disaffection amongst it’s members.

Recall that a group had staged a protest demanding resignation of persons holding political appointment and are desirous of seeking elective positions.

But the group in a press statement signed by the Convener, Comrade of the group, Tamen Daniel and made available to journalist in Abuja, the group expressed disappointment that the opposition could go to the extent of creating factions with the sole aim of impersonating the leadership and tarnishing the reputation of the group.

“Let it be on record that our original leaders which we unanimously voted and mandated to represent us did not organise or participate in any rally. The said rally was the handiwork of the opposition orchestrated through a faction comprising of disgruntled youth who do not represent the APC in anyway”, the statement countered.

While noting that there must be nice Judas in human societies, the group maintained that the APC and indeed the youth group can not fold its arm and allow few greedy persons who are willing to dine with the devil to desecrate their ranks and sow seeds of discord as no society can survive with disloyal and dishonest members.

“We have taken the bold decision of suspending the leadership and members of the breakaway faction to restore our integrity. As a youth group built on integrity and patriotic zeal, we make bold to say that we cannot entertain and accommodate betrayers in our midst”, the statement added.

The group revealed that they are well aware of failed opposition leaders especially PDP governors whose stock in trade is looting public funds to buy goodwill without actually touching the lives of the people who voted them. Stating further that money politics has no place in modern Nigeria and the perpetrators will soon face the wrath of the law.

“We have reliably gathered that the sum of 3 million was given to some youth by a South South governor to fight Rt. Hon. Rotimi Ameachi. Security agencies should therefore swing into action and recover that money and ensure that everybody involved is prosecuted”, the statement added.

The group urged all Nigerians to be steadfast and focused on the task of electing credible leaders come 2023 without allowing a failed opposition corrupt their minds and lead them back to slavery. Adding that those who have what it takes to govern the country will not be involved in manipulations and mischief in order to gain public trust.
