Super Eagles Avenge Defeat on Central African Republic with 2-0 Victory

Nigeria on Sunday avenged their 1-0 defeat to the Central African Republic, with a 2-0 victory.

The three-time African champions were shocked at home by the Wild Beasts on Thursday, in a 2022 World Cup qualifying game.

However, on Sunday, Gernot Rohr’s men made their superiority count in Douala, Cameroon.

Leon Balogun volleyed the Super Eagles into the lead in the first half before Victor Osimhen doubled their advantage just before the break.

Osimhen failed to add another goal, as he saw his effort blocked on the line.

With this win, Nigeria remain top of Group C with nine points from four games while CAR remain on four points.
