BBNaija’s Doyin Advocates for Open Communication Between Parents and Children Regarding Sex Education

    By Milcah Tanimu

Reality TV star Doyin recently shared candid insights on the importance of open communication between parents and their children about sex during an episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast. Doyin highlighted that many parents shy away from discussing sex-related topics with their children, and this reluctance poses a significant issue.

Drawing from her own experience, Doyin revealed that she confided in her mother about losing her virginity. She attributed her ability to share such personal experiences to the safe and open environment her mother had created for her.

Doyin stated, “When I lost my virginity, I spoke to my mum about it. I said, ‘Mummy, this thing did not feel this way.’ And we had a conversation. She was like, ‘Okay, this is what you should do. Do you use a condom?’”

She emphasized the importance of parents establishing an environment where children feel comfortable discussing intimate matters and asking questions. Doyin emphasized that she could openly communicate with her mother about various topics, even seeking advice when she wasn’t enjoying sex.

Doyin urged parents to be proactive in creating an environment where their kids can openly talk to them. She emphasized that if children are not comfortable discussing sex education with their parents, they might seek information from other sources.

“Parents need to create that kind of environment where their kids can speak to them about anything. At the end of the day, it’s either they’re speaking to you or they’re speaking to someone else,” she added.

Highlighting the importance of early sex education, Doyin suggested that parents use age-appropriate materials to foster understanding and strengthen the parent-child relationship.

In a surprising turn of events, Doyin bid farewell to the ‘Big Brother Naija All Stars’ house as the seventh evicted contestant, marking the conclusion of this evening’s elimination round. Her eviction sent shockwaves through the house, with very few housemates standing up to bid her farewell. In an unexpected twist, it was her former best friend, Ilebaye, who was the first to hug Doyin goodbye, shedding tears and struggling to let her go.

Adding to the drama of the night, Big Brother wasted no time and promptly sent home the third new housemate, known as Biggie’s guest, Kimoprah. Kimoprah had been at the center of a love triangle involving Cross and Pere, which had been a highlight of the week’s drama. She had openly declared her affections for Cross, bringing the love triangle to an end. Kimoprah had previously been a contestant on the Pepper Dem season, and her departure leaves Omashola as the last remaining new housemate in the All Stars house.

The evening also featured a captivating performance by L.A.X on the ‘Big Brother Naija’ stage, including a nostalgic rendition of his song “Caro.” However, the tension built by host Ebuka in the house took center stage as he closed the show with the letter prank involving Adekunle. It appeared that Adekunle had yet to inform Venita about the letter, and viewers will have to wait to see how this drama unfolds in the coming week.

With only three weeks remaining in the ‘Big Brother Naija All Stars’ season, the competition is heating up, and it remains to be seen who will ultimately claim the winner’s crown.

BBNaija ‘All-Stars’: Alex and Cee-C’s Lingering Feud

    By Daniel Edu

Five years after the conclusion of the Big Brother Naija ‘Double Wahala’ edition, Cynthia Nwadiora, known as Cee-C, and Alex Asogwa, popularly known as Alex Unusual, find themselves at odds once again during the ‘All-Stars’ edition of the show.

Returning to the BBNaija house, Alex and Cee-C reignited memories of their heated clash in 2018 as they engaged in a heated argument over the script for the wager task presentation, which Alex had written.

Though the two had previously moved on from the infamous quarrel during the reunion, it appears that Cee-C still sees Alex as a thorn in her side.

The organizers of the ‘All-Stars’ season have seemingly paired former housemates with clashes and intriguing relationship dynamics from previous seasons, including the likes of Angel and Cross, Whitemoney and Pere, Doyin and Adekunle, and Mercy Eke and Ike, among others.

Despite sharing a warm hug at the unveiling of the housemates, Cee-C has declared that she is not willing to reconcile with Alex, even if it takes a hundred years. During a conversation with the Head of House, Adekunle, Cee-C expressed her lack of fondness for Alex and stated that she believes Alex has not changed her personality.

Cee-C said, “As far as I’m concerned, I don’t like her [Alex], and I don’t think I will ever like her even in the next 100 years. I don’t want to f*ck with her. It’s that simple. Even here, I told myself that whatever energy you bring, that’s the energy I will return. I will just act like I don’t know anyone anymore here. And I have seen that she is still the person she was in 2018…Alex is someone who just thinks that she can make my life uncomfortable.”

In contrast, Alex seems unfazed by Cee-C’s continuous ranting, and many viewers of the show have praised her maturity in handling the situation.

    About Alex:

    1. The reality TV star is from Enugu State.

    2. Alex began her career in the entertainment industry as a 6-month-old child model for a Nestle baby food campaign in 1996 and gained prominence after her appearance on BBNaija.

    3. She won the Miss Eastern Nigeria beauty pageant in 2016.

    4. Alex further honed her directing and content creation talents through studies at the New York Film Academy.

    5. She was rumored to have had a romantic involvement with her fellow BBNaija contestant, Tobi Bakre, but she dismissed the rumors, asserting that there was nothing between them.

    6. Alex was also subject to a rumor suggesting that she had an abortion involving ace Nigerian comedian AY, which she vehemently denied.

    7. In 2021, Alex nearly got married to a man named Andre, but the wedding was called off. She cited Andre’s bullying and violent behavior as the reasons for the cancellation, explaining that he would hit her at the slightest provocation.

BBNaija S7: Twist As Chomzy, Doyin, Eloswag Voted Out of Show

The Big Brother Naija season 7 held its sixth live eviction show on Sunday evening and three housemates were ‘evicted’.

Doyin, Eloswag, and Chomzy became the 12th, 13th, and 14th housemates to be evicted, but in a surprising twist, Big Brother kept them in a new house, known as the Level 3 house.

The show host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, who made the announcement during the Sunday live show, added that the evicted housemates will be guests in the level 3 house till September 18, at least.

According to Ebuka, the evicted housemates are unaware of the new twist as they were left to wonder if their eviction was real or fake.

However, Ebuka cleared the air that the eviction was real and they are only guests for a period of time.

The evicted housemates who found themselves in the level three house expressed their joy at being placed in a new place.

Earlier in the week, Hermes became the Head of House for the second time and gained immunity from being nominated for possible eviction.

After the nominations from the housemates, Adekunle, Chizzy, Bella, Rachel, Phyna, Eloswag, Chomzy, and Doyin, were out up for eviction.

Biggie reintroduced the ‘save and replace’ HOH power and Hermes saved Adekunle and put Bryann up for eviction.

Since Chizzy and Rachel were Riders (Biggie’s agent), the rest six housemates were left to battle for viewer’s votes.

Following the votes, Doyin, Eloswag, and Chomzy were evicted and placed in the level 3 house as guests.

So far, Christy O, Cyph, Khalid, Ilebaye, Kess, Pharmsavi, Modella, Amaka, Deji, Giddyfia, Diana have been evicted from the BBNaija season 7 show.

With the latest evictions, only 11 real housemates are on the show.

Rachel and Chizzy are Big Brother’s agents, otherwise known as Riders.
