    APC Defectors Are Moles – Sokoto APC Chairman

    Addressing newsmen at the party secretariat today, the party Chairman in the state, Alhaji Isah Sadiq Achida described those who defected to opposition PDP as Moles.

    He said they are the people have been rejected by their communities and have no political values at state, local government and wards saying none of them cited any tangible government projects or achievement in any sector of human endeavor.

    Achida also said they people brought into light by the state APC leader in the state Aliyu Wamakko and now turned their back against him saying he single handedly nominated them into either national Assembly, Ministerial positions or any of the national seats.

    He then called on the ruling PDP to explain to the people of the state its reasons for abandoning ongoing projects as bridges, Sokoto Teaching Hospital and Girls school at Kasarawa saying the projects have become a conduit pipes despite subsequent increases for each project.

    Achida also challenged the state government to as a matter of urgency pay civil servants gratuity which was denied them since 2016 which is disheartening.

    He then commended the patience of the people in the state saying the All Progressive Congress will continue to waxing stronger both at national and state levels.

    Statement Made By Sokoto APC Chairman Over The Sale Of Sokoto Central Market Is Baseless -Tambuwal

    Responding on the statement made by APC Chairman over the sale of Sokoto Central Market to a certain Financial Interest Institution, Sokoto state Governor,Aminu Waziri Tambuwal said he has never in anyway thought of selling the market no any of his cabinet Commissioner or Special Adviser ever approached him with such idea.

    He said considering the major projects both executed and those under construction are mostly done by indigenous contractors, more so,the most costly and money consuming Sokoto University Teaching Hospital that will consume N13.2b.

    He further averred that “Alhaji Mukhtar Maigona is the indigenous contractor and the Architect who designed the Hospital is also indigenous, look, opposition party are envying my performances because I am about the best governor who undertook to execute such projects as flyovers, roads,drainages as well as construction of schools and improving both primary education and agriculture”.

    Governor Tambuwal also said he is governing the state going by the oaths he took during the swearing ceremony.
