Tajudeen Abbas Celebrates Victory as Winning Margin is Crossed in 10th NASS Speaker Election

A wave of jubilation filled the House of Representatives chamber as Tajudeen Abbas, the favored candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), surpassed the winning margin in the ongoing Speaker election for the 10th National Assembly.

Out of the 360 members-elect, an impressive count of 359 representatives actively participated in the electoral process.

With three contenders vying for the prestigious position, the victor must secure a simple majority over their opponents.

A significant number of members-elect have publicly pledged their support and cast their votes in favor of Abbas.

Abbas is poised to secure victory, as his opponents—outgoing Deputy Speaker Ahmed Wase and Sani Jaji—have received one and two votes respectively, as of now.

Further details will be provided in subsequent updates.
