A Minister of God in charge of ECWA Church, Buda 2, Kasuwa Magani, in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Rev. Musa Mairimi, has been reportedly killed by bandits, his wife also abducted.

The Pastor was shot dead on Thursday by bandits, according to
Kaduna State Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Rev. John Joseph Hayab, who confirmed the incident on Saturday.

He explained that the attackers stormed the community on Thursday and killed the clergy in his residence.

He also lamented that the bandits also abducted the wife of the pastor.

According to him, over 100 people who were abducted are still in the terrorists’ camp for over six months from local government areas of Kauru, Jaba, Kachia, Kagarko and Kajuru have regained their freedom.

Accordingly, he said, “The insecurity especially killing and kidnapping of innocent souls is so disturbing that it is no longer news because many are left to carry their cross while many others have been killed in the hands of the terrorists.

“Many homes have been completely destroyed and their valuables and nothing is being done to alleviate the sufferings of the common people affected”, he said.

Rev. Hayab lamented that CAN is so disturbed with the rate at kidnapping of innocent souls are ongoing at this hard time that people hardly put food on their table.
The disturbing situation, according to him is that the government was not doing enough to ensure the killings in the state is curtail to enable rural dwellers go about their normal lives to provide to their families.

He believed that insecurity was a major problem that hinders many eligible voters to come out to exercise their franchise of electing candidates of their choice.

He called on the security agencies to be more proactive in ensuring that the society is free from the activities of bandits that have brought untold hardship to the people.
