Former vice president and presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 elections has also reacted to the assault video involving Senator Elisha Abbo.

The assault video has sparked outrage as Nigerians across the country are calling on the police to ensure justice is served on the issue.

In his reaction, Atiku described the video as “sad, inexcusable”.

The PDP presidential candidate then gave four recommendations. He advised Abbo to publicly apologise and voluntarily go to the police.

Atiku also advised the PDP to take necessary disciplinary action against the senator and called on the Nigerian police to ensure the law takes its full course.
