State commissioner for Health Hajiya Asabe Balarabe threw the challenge when she paid an unscheduled visit to the hospital today.
Hajiya Asabe explained that this has to maintain the prestige of the hospital being one of the best tertiary health institutions in Nigeria.
She said the present administration of Dr Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto is very much committed to reviving the lost glory of all the hospitals in the state, hence the need for all staff to be alive to their responsibilities.
The statement by the information officer, Nura Bello Maikwanci further quoted the Commissioner, “i was in the hospital to see the condition of the hospital, to see things for myself for necessary action”.
Hajiya Asabe then pledged to use her wealth of experience as retired Senior Nurse to improve the activities of the Ministry so as to ensure the realization of Dr Ahmed Aliyu’s led administration desire in that direction.
She however solicited the support and cooperation of all Directors and other staff of the Ministry for the attainment of the set objectives.
The commissioner then promised to do her best toward addressing the challenges affecting the hospital.
She commended governor Ahmed Aliyu for his quick intervention in rescuing the hospital since assumed office.
Speaking while receiving the commissioner, the Cheif medical director of the hospital Dr Bello Umar Tambuwal briefed her on the condition of the hospital.
