The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) is set to launch the 2024 edition of its Annual Statistical Bulletin (ASB) on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at 14:00 at the OPEC Secretariat in Vienna, Austria. The event will be held in a hybrid format, allowing both in-person and virtual attendance.

The 2024 Annual Statistical Bulletin (ASB-2024) will be presented by OPEC Secretary General HE Haitham Al Ghais. The presentation will be followed by a discussion session with key experts from the OPEC Secretariat’s Research Division.

First published in 1965, the Annual Statistical Bulletin is one of OPEC’s flagship publications. It provides a comprehensive range of data on the global energy and oil industries, along with various key economic indicators. The ASB serves as a reliable source of data for policymakers, decision-makers, academics, analysts, and other stakeholders. The publication includes data on supply and demand, import and export activities, exploration, and other statistics covering OPEC’s 12 Member Countries and 10 partner countries in the Charter of Cooperation (CoC).

OPEC Secretary General HE Haitham Al Ghais commented on the announcement: “OPEC’s Annual Statistical Bulletin has become a key tool for many stakeholders across the industry. The importance of reliable, timely, and accessible data in supporting decision-making, research, and policy development is evident. Thus, OPEC has strived since its founding to enhance its practices related to data collection, processing, and dissemination in the interest of transparency and oil market stability.”

The Annual Statistical Bulletin will be available as an interactive version and a PDF on the OPEC website. It will also be accessible through a smart app compatible with iOS and Android platforms. Additional details will be available after the launch.
