Tinubu Expresses Sorrow Over Kaduna Village Bombing

President Bola Tinubu conveyed deep sorrow over the accidental bombing of Tudun Biri community in Kaduna State by the Nigerian Army, labeling the incident as “very unfortunate, disturbing, and painful.” In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu extended condolences to the families of the victims, the people, and the government of Kaduna State.

The incident, which occurred during the celebration of Maulud, an Islamic event, resulted in widespread outrage and condemnation. Survivors reported about 93 bodies buried by Monday evening, emphasizing the need for a thorough investigation. Tinubu called for calm and directed a comprehensive medical response for surviving victims while expressing prayers for the repose of the souls of the deceased.

The Nigerian Army’s mistargeted bombing in Tudun Biri has sparked concerns and demands for accountability, prompting Governor Uba Sani to order a thorough investigation to prevent similar occurrences in the future. Tinubu echoed the call for a full-fledged investigation into the incident and other mishaps, emphasizing the importance of diligence in addressing the loss of lives.

The President directed authorities to provide swift and comprehensive medical attention to surviving victims, highlighting the necessity of understanding and preventing such tragic incidents.
