President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has unveiled infrastructural development in the satellite towns as he commissioned the Abuse — Ketti road in Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC of the FCT.
While commissioning the 10 kilometers Kabusa-Ketti access road connecting communities on Friday, President Tinubu said that his administration will continue to deliver people -friendly infrastructural development in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Mr. President who was
represented by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, described the road as a transformational project that would ease mobility, enhance access to schools and healthcare, and ensure that rural communities are not left behind in the nation’s development.
“This project aligns squarely with the Renewed Hope Agenda of my administration, which places people at the centre of governance. We believe that good governance is not theory, it is action, reflected in the daily lives of the people”.
The President underscored his government’s readiness to deliver essential infrastructure – roads, schools, hospitals, power, and digital access – not just in the city centers but also in the smaller communities that form the backbone of the nation.
“While the 10 km road may appear modest to some, for the people of Kabusa, Ketti, and the surrounding communities, it is truly transformational”, the President emphasized.
He also urged beneficiaries to own the roads for its sustainability, assuring them of continued government support.
“This is not the end of the road, but it is the beginning. More projects will come, investments will reach you, and attention will be given to your needs, for every Nigerian deserves development regardless of where they live”, he said.
Meanwhile, President Tinubu has continued to commend , Wike’s administration and the contractors for delivering the project in real time and in line with specification while also praising the AMAC leadership for prioritizing the intervention.
Earlier, the FCT minister had expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for his continual support to the FCT Administration.
The minister recalled that the Kabusa-Ketti road, flagged off in December last year, was completed on schedule, as he commended the contractor for his dedication and commitment.
Wike expressed happiness at the massive turnout of locals and supportive youths from the communities during the commissioning exercise, describing it as a sign of happiness with the current administration.
“I commend the youths for the support they gave to the contractors. There are some communities that when you award jobs to be done, instead of them to support the company, they pose problems for the company. In this case, they supported the company to finish on time.”
“When the people are happy, the government will be happy. When the government does good work, you will see the reflection in the faces of the people”, the Minister noted.
