The APC Youth Movement (AYM) has dismissed the Team New Nigeria (TNN)’s decision to separate from the ruling party, calling it the work of fake politicians rather than a legitimate opposition.
Speaking to our correspondent in Kano, Ambassador Abdulazeez Adamu Bello, the Secretary-General of AYM, stated that TNN members are not genuine members of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He further claimed that the group is being sponsored by failed politicians who are frustrated by the ongoing success of the APC under President Tinubu’s administration. According to him, TNN will not pose a significant threat to the ruling party.
TNN’s Lack of Political Credibility
Bello emphasized that many of the people claiming to pull out of the APC are not recognized by the party and have no standing within the political structure. He suggested that TNN is being manipulated by wealthy political figures who are jealous of the ruling party’s progress and success.
Response to TNN’s Alleged Agenda
The AYM Secretary-General also indicated that AYM would reveal the true motivations behind TNN’s formation and their broader objectives, which have already been thwarted by the support and satisfaction of Nigerians with President Tinubu’s leadership.
A Call for Continued Support for APC
Bello urged Nigerians to continue supporting the APC and the Tinubu administration, especially at a time when rapid changes are taking place in the country. He also advised the public to be cautious of any sponsored groups or associations seeking to disrupt Nigeria’s democratic process.
The statement positions AYM as a steadfast supporter of the ruling party and casts doubt on the legitimacy and intentions of the breakaway faction, Team New Nigeria.
