Toke Makinwa Suggests Men Aren’t Attracted to Overly Nice Women

By Daniel Edu

Popular Nigerian media personality, Toke Makinwa, has expressed her belief that men are not particularly drawn to women who are excessively nice. She made this assertion during the latest episode of her podcast, TokeMoments.

Makinwa stated, “Men don’t like women that are nice…” suggesting that when women are overly accommodating and pleasant, some men may perceive them as gullible or easily taken advantage of.

However, her guest on the show, skit maker Bukunmi Adeaga Ilori, known as Kiekie, disagreed with her viewpoint. Kiekie proposed an alternative perspective, suggesting that men appreciate women who can effectively guide them in various aspects of life. She shared a personal example of reminding her husband about their child’s need to go to daycare, emphasizing that men sometimes need gentle nudges to remember important responsibilities.

Toke Makinwa countered Kiekie’s argument by suggesting that Kiekie’s husband might be more receptive to correction because he is “easy,” insinuating that this might not be the case for most men.

It’s important to note that this conversation reflects the opinions and viewpoints of the individuals involved and may not represent the perspectives of all men or women. People have diverse preferences and attitudes in relationships, and what one person finds attractive or compatible may differ from another’s perspective.
