Tragic Auto Crash Claims Lives of Three Oyo Monarchs, Leaves Nine Others Injured

Tragedy struck in Oyo State as three traditional rulers from Oriire Local Government Area lost their lives in a road accident involving a Benz E230 and a commercial Scania Truck at Aje Iye. Two of the monarchs died on the spot, while the third passed away a few hours later at the Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital. The accident occurred while the passengers were en route to a social function. Six individuals were involved, and the three survivors are receiving treatment at LAUTECH Teaching Hospital. The affected monarchs include the Olodogbo of Odogbo, Onibowula of Bowula, and Alayetoro of Ayetoro. Additionally, a separate incident on the Ogbomoso-Oyo Expressway resulted in a truck catching fire, leaving nine out of 13 persons with varying degrees of burns. No fatalities were reported, and the injured individuals are undergoing treatment.
