Two PDP gubernatorial aspirants dump party joined APC in Jigawa

Two of the Jigawa state Peoples Democratic party gubernatorial aspirants in the just concluded primaries have dumped the party and joined ruling party APC.

This was stated by the Jigawa state Governor Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar while inaugurating main reconciliation committee at Manpower Development Institute in Dutse.

Governor Badaru said committees would bring unity among party members and also clear some misunderstandings after the conduct of APC primaries in the state.

Announcing the defectors Governor Badaru said, Alhaji Tijjani Ibrahim Kiyawa and Alhaji Danladi Auyo have decided to joined APC and gives their contributions towards the success of the party coming 2019 general election.

Tijjani Kiyawa was a former House of representative member representing Dutse and Kiyawa Federal constituency under the banner of PDP during Lamido’s administration.

He was second in the just concluded PDP gubernatorial primaries with 394 votes after Aminu Ibrahim Ringim who emerged victorious with 2027 votes ahead of other contenders.

Findings by Nigerian Pilot revealed that his defection may not be unconnected with his lost after the primaries and some rifts between him and party leadership in the state.

Alhaji Danladi Auyo was also another PDP gubernatorial aspirant who defected to APC for accusing the PDP National office to screen him before the party’s gubernatorial primaries in the country.

They explained that the development follows a wider consultation with their supporters across the state in order to give their contributions towards the development of the state.

” we are satisfied with leadership of APC administration in the state and the country and we are ready to give our contributions for the victory of the party in the coming 2019 general election “.Auyo stated.

Governor Badaru described the former PDP bigwigs as big catches and a plus to the APC family, welcomes all the former PDP members, assuring them of proper treatment without discrimination.
